Once set up (15mins) executive headshots can be shot quickly (5mins) and include a range of expressions. If they are fast enough, clothing/jacket changes too!

There are many ways to shoot the classic head and shoulders white background exec photo, and they can be set to be crisp white single expression uniform shots, through to relaxed and informal headshots against a light high key and optimistic backdrop which although not entirely white, can be with touches of out of focus line, or colour behind the subject. see examples above.
You can also see above shots with a shadow, which some people require.
